The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) is a seven-question self-report. A total of 0-7 is mild, 8-19 is moderate and 20-35 is severe. It is the standard way to measure BPH symptoms before and after treatment.
For the references supporting the clinical claims on this site, see /evidence/. For a plain-English summary of what the published outcomes mean for individual men, see /outcomes/.
Ask for a second opinion on your symptom score, flow studies and prostate size before committing to a treatment plan.
